Directions to UCHM Centre


Directions by car:

 

UCHM is 3 miles south-west of Huddersfield town centre, along the A62 Manchester Road, travelling towards Oldham.

 

From the M62 Eastbound, take junction 23 and travel along the A640 towards the town centre.

 

From the M62 Westbound take junction 24 and travel along the A629 towards the town centre.

 

From the M1 Northbound, take junction 37, and take the A628 westbound.  Carry on this road until you come to the junction with the A629, and take this road.  Keep on the A629 until you get to Huddersfield town centre.

 

From the M1 Southbound, take junction 42, and join the M62 until you get to junction 24.

From the town centre. UCHM is approximately 3 miles out of Huddersfield Town Centre.  On the Huddersfield Ring Road, follow the signs for A62 Oldham. Once on the A62, follow the signs for Oldham until you pass the Petrol Station on the left, then take the next right.  This is 50 yards before Cowlersley traffic lights. UCHM is in the building just off the main road, with its own car parking facilities.

 

Directions by bus 

From Huddersfield bus station, you need to go to stand M and get on one of the following buses:  
  
181, 183, 184, 185.  This is the Purple Line.

 

The buses are at regular intervals during the day and the journey should take approximately ten minutes.

 

Ask for New Street, which is the stop just after the service station.

 

Directions by train

 

Huddersfield is linked to all major routes via either Leeds or Manchester .  There is a regular Trans-Pennine express service from either station to Huddersfield station.

 

From Huddersfield Train Station, it is a 5 minute walk to the bus station.  Turn right and walk past 'The Head of Steam' pub, where you will see a small hill, then  follow the road up to the top.  Cross at the traffic lights and the bus station is straight in front of you.
